Yes he explained it by saying that Tyson as champion should receive 80% of the purse which I explained is a laughable notion considering Lewis' would've been champion if not for some BS ruling by the WBC which allowed Tyson to jump ahead of Lewis in the pecking order and receive Lewis' shot at the title.

Vitali became WBC mandatory, Byrd was IBF and Ruiz was WBA. Im saying Lewis ended up fighting an infinitely better fighter than the ones he "ducked". Whereas Tyson fought the likes of Bruce SeLOLdon

It often does when you start to lose grip of the debate.

People may laugh, but Tyson's best win was Bruno.

          True story.

You won't accept the Mike was WBC champ when he clearly was and you basically implied that Grant was more worthy of a shot against Lewis than Ruiz, end of debate.

Grant? Ruiz? LOL....why are you going off in tangents? You wont accept that Tyson wanted nothing to do with Lewis until he had absolutely nowhere to go. End of debate.

Lewis priced himself out...end of debate.

You can keep saying that, it wont make it any more true. The proof is in the pudding of Lewis being paid $4m to stay away from Tyson. It doesnt get much more blatant than that.

There obviously was seeing as how the judge ruled against Lewis and allowed Tyson to become Bruno's mandatory

It doesnt matter. It doesnt change the fact that as a challenger he was only entitled to 20%

He was never in a position to avoid Witherspoon or Bowe

He took Tyson and the wbc to court to force Tyson to fight him. Tyson wanted to fight Mercer at the time, but Lewis knew he was going to lose so he took them to court, hence:
World heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has filed a lawsuit to stop Mike Tyson fighting on 19 January.

Lewis has also requested that the WBC remove Tyson from the mandatory challenger's position if he does fight.

"Iron Mike" is scheduled to fight Ray Mercer next month, probably at Atlantic City, New Jersey before being expected to take on Lewis in the spring.

But the lawsuit contends that the Mercer clash could hurt Lewis financially if such a contest goes ahead.

The suit, which also names the WBC as a defendant, was filed in US District Court in Manhattan on Tuesday.

Tyson replied in a statement the following day that he was "outraged by Lennox's attempt to interfere with my career."

"I stepped aside as the WBC challenger in November to allow the rematch with Rahman.

Mike Tyson in action earlier this year
Tyson is set to face Ray Mercer next month
"Lennox makes his own rules only when they suit him."
