He did slap but he could also mix in solid shots He had a unique style. For the amount of stick he gets, no one truly figured out that style. Hopkins and Roy both were confused by that *****.

Exactly. People focus on how bad Joe looked in that fight because he was supposed to be the one being showcased on his American debut. But Hopkins spent half the time running, holding, fouling, crying and faking injuries whilst landing 4 punches a round. They both looked terrible that night hence why there was no immediate rematch. Hopkins seems to get a pass cos hes "old".
