Ortiz showing a lot of heart by picking this fight in particular and on top of that he called out Maidana 3 times prior to fighting Peterson...The kid ducks no one...
if Ortiz wants to make up for any of his shortcomings of his career, this is the fight todo it.
Lets just hope he comes in with a body thats able to move and not one thats sluggish only focusing on power. Againest a speed guy, Ortiz has to move a bit to land his counters and pressure him all night.
In order for Ortiz to win this fight he's gonna have to come forward, use his headmovement, rip shots to Berto's body, but at the same time moveout and faint in order to time Berto well...I can see Berto squaring up too much and he can be caught cuz Ortiz can find those gaps...Ortiz just needs to watch out for those right hands and not over use the head movement but also block punches with his gloves...he doesn't block punches with his gloves because he doesn't wanna get hit...in other words these are the keys for Ortiz to win the fight, but Ortiz hardly ever goes to the body for some reason and when he does do it he actually hurts his opponents...

It sounds weird but I think Ortiz has to force a slugging match in this fight. If he tries to follow Berto all night to land something big he probably will, but risk alot of rounds and could drop a decision. Now if hes patient and attacks the body and works more than he did in the Peterson fight I can see him winning convincly. Someone will get dropped and i think Ortiz has the power to make Berto thinks twice, he just has to land that shot to dedicate the fight. and i think Berto will fall into a slugging war IMO which favors Ortiz..
I just hope Ortiz isnt baffled by speed but who knows.. this is the fight i really want to see.

Yeah I agree with you on this Ortiz has to fight Berto the same way he faught Maidana but he has to keep his hands up, block punches, and move his head a little more; he can't do none of that side to side bouncing he did against Peterson...he can slow Berto down if he applies 40% of his offense to the body...which is something Berto will not expect Ortiz to do...In exchanges Ortiz can be dangerous because he always drops his opponents it's basically a given that Ortiz will drop you if you wanna trade with him...
