Gamboa's performances against Barros and Salido didn't impress me one bit, he's not the skilled boxer everyone makes him out to be. As soon as one decides to box and use distance, Gamboa can't function, he then resorts to landing a few soft touches, then backing up and posing; trying to make the audience think he's doing something, this in an attempt to make his opponent come forward, which he fails at miserably. Juanma beats him in my opinion, I have no doubts on that.

Although I'll be watching, this match up doesn't really intrigue me.

this fight won't happen because one of them will get picked off. bob is to old in the game. we all know who both fighters are and what they can do,so lets get this fight on right after the next fights.

Can't front. Bob Arum knows exactly how to protect and milk
          his fighters for their worth.

For sure a fight between Gamboa and Lopez would be more entertaining
than Bradley/Alexander. Their fighting styles would make for a classic
fight. Too bad Arum is not trying to make it happen.

I love Lopez so i watch all his fights, Gamboa is entertaining so i try to watch all his too. They cant fail to make for a good fight! But as far hyping this fight - its actually losing steam imo, sick of talk, lets just get these big fights made ffs!

i don't call fighting salido and marquez again cleaning out the division. chris john and gamboa have been mandated to fight for the last year. what happened there? where's the cleaning of the division? boxing fans are getting punked if they pay for this crap.

Bob Arum is smart to wait and build the fight because there is not enough demand for this fight right now and it could be way bigger a couple of years from now if they both stay undefeated. Both of this guys are not big draws and Arum wants to make them superstars before their fight. I would not be surprised if they did a piece of both Juanma and Gamboa on CBS.

Juanma next 3 fights should be:

                    Orlando Salido
                    Rafael Marquez (again)
                    Elio Rojas

Gamboa next 3 fights should be:

                    Jorge Solis
                    Daniel Ponce De Leon
                    Chris John

If they both dominate all those fights I think another fight in february before their clash in the summer would be in order. Juanma against Litzau and Gamboa against Linares would be good options if those guys are still winning.

It is more likely that Gamboa faces Rojas and Juanma faces PDL(again). So switch those 2. And, it is more likely that Rojas faces the winner of Hasegawa-Gonzalez fight first.
