people have forgot what a slick boxer really is and newbies never seen it so they dog what they know nothing about. i advise people to look at Hoon Kim vs. Vazquez or prescott vs. Vasquez full fight. miguel vazquez is good examble of a slick boxer and he is mexican go figure.

That is probably one of the dumbest statements I have ever read here and there are A LOT of them. That is like saying if you can't dunk you should not play basketball or if you can't hit homeruns you should not play baseball, etc.

lol, when children of African ****** became fighters in the u.s. we boxed like we fought and danced in our African cultures.

in Africa those who where sold into slavery where the losers of wars between clans and countries. they fought with a kicking / acrobatic style that was developed for defense against sticks, blades and spears. this art was practiced and refined through dance and mock combat that blended one into the other.

those who got to the Americas continued to practice these arts (mostly in secret, disguising it as a dance) and the arts are now called capoeira, dambia muti, Haitian machete fencing ect....... there was even one in the u.s. called "knocking and kicking".

it was how we fought, how we danced and just simply how we moved.

when the children of former ****** started prize fighting we adapted these methods of movement for boxing. that is the reason we don't box like john l. Sullivan anymore.

in fact when the first few black fighters where allowed to fight white men in the ring, many news papers reported that the African-American fighters fought in a "cowardly style" based on avoiding blows.

sound familiar?

when a.a. fighters fight we try to stay on our toes the whole fight, slip shots and return fire off those misses.

these things came to boxing because of us, and still no one does them better than us.

Im not talking about Ali,Rob, SRLs of the worlds... Im talking about guys that claim that AA slick style is dominant when clearly all it is is throwing a 1-2 and and running the whole round....

These guys should not be in boxing in the first place since they're clearly not warriors or interested in fighting at all.
