The posters on here under-rate McCloskey out of ignorance and prejudice. If a fighter isn't from the US or at least from the Americas, then he always gets seriously under-rated by Americans. They mostly seem to think that the world revolves around America.

Khan and Roach aren't that ******. They picked McCloskey because they know he's a good opponent. They won't under-estimate him.

I haven't seen McClosky fight before, anyone have any recommendations?

Your second world title fight at 27 years old for 300k?

            You turn that down?

Peterson is probably at the peak of his boxing ability right now and only seeded 8th and McCloskey is 10th and over the hill 31.

McCloskey is also 2nd seed in the UK so he makes a bigger draw in the UK than Peterson. A better decision for Team Khan, people were getting on my back saying Khan was duckign McCloskey, especially when the talk about Junior Witter came out. He has a following and thats money in the bank right there. Would be ****** to pay over the odds for a similar level of fighter that has no following in the UK.

If it was Prescott I would be happier but its obvious Peterson was their first choice, unless he wanted to ask ****** money.

Guys like Prescott, Guzman and even Witter would have all been better draws than Peterson and they were willing to give him 300k and he gave it up. For what? A shot at Devon?

McCloskey is ABOVE Peterson on the WBA and WBC Rankings. Khan doesn't even register on the WBC rankings.

The Bradley fight has to happen sometime soon but Peterson?

He's hardly a mandatory, or a serious draw so he doesn't deserve ****** money. He should take the best he can get. His team didn't play his cards right.
You do know that 300k needs to be split it up between the coach and everybody, plus Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, right? I hope you know this. He would probably end up making a mere $150K against A Mere Con Man, who's father steals contracts from nutrition trainers

He'd whip Peterson's ass. At least thats what the WBA and WBC say.

Looks decent. Gonna have to keep his hands up a bit more than that against Amir though. Does Khan have any experience against southpaws?

I've seen him fight a couple times and he is good and is a very dangerous opponent especially for a tuneup. Awkward, has power, southpaw, good handspeed and solid headmovement. not a guy you want for a tuneup.

                    Southpaw experience?

Not of this calibre and not at 140.

Seems like an odd choice then while waiting on a big money fight with Bradley. I see McCloskey has a fight scheduled before Khan (which surely is a career payday for him,) also odd.
