Seems like an odd choice then while waiting on a big money fight with Bradley. I see McCloskey has a fight scheduled before Khan (which surely is a career payday for him,) also odd.

The fight in March will get put back. The team are obviously considering this will be better for him in terms of getting a WBC ranking, broadening the skillset and keeping his profile up in the UK.

There is plenty of criticism from the Irish community over McCloskey and theres a big Irish community here. At best McCloskey gets a payday and he wins over the Irish crowd.

At worst he loses the title and theres a rematch and the man from Derry comes into the mix at 140.

His uppercut looks pretty solid and regular. His movement is pretty slick. His feet look good. I don't believe some of the badmouthing of this fighter when you see him.

Khan should be careful, this could wind up JUST like Prescott again and this kid is pretty dangerous. You don't get a top ten rating fighting out of EIRE for nothing. Its hard work, especially when most people calling htemselves Irish are based out of the USA.

He's not american and they dont know him so he just has to be *****e.


Dumb fight for Khan because for all his talent even in the UK he isnt a well known name, the risk/reward ratio is all wrong here
