Why was Team Ortiz trying to get a 143 catchweight?

It's a good fight if they were not blowing their budget. But, we know HBO will blow their budget by overpaying both of them.

And, good in what way? I can almost guarantee that this will be a WCB fight...This is not WBC material...It's a B.A.D material.

And, this would be a good fight for an opener on B.A.D not headlining the damn thing. While the dreaded Khan-Mcloskey will be the opener. Sorry is a eh double header nothing really exciting. Might be interesting and I will watch....

But, is not really up and comers going at it. Berto has been a title holder for years now. Defending his belt against a JWW again and is against a JWW who couldn't cut it at JWW. Ortiz is just a mess right now. A big question mark.

Is an OK fight. However, HBO will be ****** by overpaying for it.

Because the fight was offered by Dibella Ent...They braught up the idea of this fight and Ortiz didn't decide to move up in weight just yet...but since they offered the fight Ortiz's camp tried to compromise a catch weight since they haven't tested these waters...but since they want it for the full weight I guess they agreed to Berto's terms...

I'll give Ortiz a ton of credit for taking the fight.

Fighting Berto on your first trip to 147.

            That takes balls.

But Berto is fighting a guy who struggled in his last fight and is a newbie to 147.

It looks like Berto is looking for an easy fight for big money.

I hope Ortiz can beat the sh$t out him.

Ortiz's sister told me he took this fight because he wants to show greatness...he doesn't know how to show that since he can't fight Maidana again because Maidana said no to a rematch...so he wants a fight against a tough opponent that makes Ortiz an underdog...

Berto-Ortiz can happen because @loudibella made deal with Selcuk Aydin (mandatory) to step aside. Aydin would fight on Berto-Ortiz undercard

Two tune up fights in a row for Berto along with Hernandez which would be three in actuality. Great.

To be honest I'd rather see Berto fight Ortiz than Selcuk Aydin.
