Completely disagree?, yet have indirectly agreed with everything I've said...

    Interesting.

      Interesting.
You said that people had changed their tune from when the fight was originally made. I said that I disagreed and that I feel the same exact way now that I did when the fight was originally made. My thoughts on the fight have not changed at all.

The difference in fighting Floyd and fighting Manny is Manny is there to be hit but Floyd isn't. After the 2nd round Shane couldn't hit Floyd. Any great trainer will tell you that timing can conquer speed every time. If Shane times Manny properly either the roids will kick in or Manny will get stopped. Also remember Shane is pretty fast too.

As much as I'd like to see Mosley win I just don't see it happening. In his past two fights he has shown signs of gassing out early. The only way I can see him beating Pac is if he catches him with some hail mary type shot within the first four rnds. Maybe a body shot since Pac has a good chin. Other than that I have Pac winning by late TKO or UD.

Mosley has proven me wrong before though. After looking at his performance against Mayoroga I thought (and I'm sure I wasn't the only one) that Marg was just going to run right over him. And Shane turned back the clock and dominated him. But Pac is a whole different animal. Good luck Shane cuz you'll need it.

all I have to say is styles make fights.

Mosley has the style to beat Pacquiao.....Mayweather has the style to beat Mosley....Cotto has the style to beat Mayweather.....Pacquiao has the style to beat Cotto.

Have they ever had to do this so much for any other fighter?

Even if Mosley lands a lucky shot early in the fight, I'm sure Pac can recover and launch a full comeback in the following round or two. Then it's all downhill for Mosley. Mayweather and Mosley combined threw less punches in their 12 rounder than Pacquiao single-handedly throws in most of his 12 round fights.

The day Pac beat Cotto, most people agreed that no one in this division would be a threat anymore except for Mayweather.

In my humble opinion, though generally true that STYLES MAKES THE FIGHTS, it is really the fighters themselves that makes the fight.

yes true, but most fighters will usually fight in the same style that they are best at. Cotto for instance relies on his stiff left jab and throws great left hooks...but his right hand is not nearly as dangerous. If you can stay away from his left and make him beat you with his right...you can do good against him(easier said than done of course).

Then there are those fighters who are dangerous with both hands and can, and do successfully adapt to different styles like a Floyd Mayweather or Andre Ward.

So yes fighters do make the fights and a boxer who's style does not match up well with another, can impose their will and win....but usually that boxer has a very good chin, because they will be getting hit a lot.

Yea I believe he was capable of beating Pacman back in his prime, just like De La Hoya and alot of others could have.
