Can't wait for the first time Lampley says "Big left by Cotto!" when Floyd hits him with a straight right.

Pac had zero issues with Clottey (The supposed great defense)

And had crazy issues getting to Marquez.

Some people have issues with fighting the shell.

Doesn't mean that can't do better than vs other defenses.[/QUOTE]

he did have issues with that defense what the hell were u watching? The reason clottey lost was because he wouldnt throw alot of punches but he hit pac almost everytime he threw a punch look a pacs face after the fight clottey looked like his wasnt even in a fight.

Of course. I acutally can't remember the last fight he was given full credit for. It might have been at 140. With success comes hate. That just goes with the territory.

He gets more credit If he wins IMO then Manny does when he beat a 145 pound toothpick Cotto.

              i usually buy 3-4 fights a year

              manny and floyd fights generally.
i pay almost $100 a month for cable, too, to get hbo and showtime.

              it's insane.

everything else i "get down the river," though, if it's ppv

I'll be watching it on the big screen for $15. Seems like a good deal to me.

Also, it is interesting how Manny is criticised for making Cotto come down, but is expected himself to come down for Marquez. So in essence, they wanted him to fight Cotto at 47, but fight JMM at 40. He's expected to fight everyone at their best weight but not one which suits himself? (which would probably be 144). FWIW, the CW was a silly idea, cos it has just allowed people to discredit a fantastic win.

Oh and no, it won't be a better win than Pac's. Not only cos I doubt Floyd puts a beating on Miguel like Pac - but Miguel had only come off one loss when he fought Manny. That was a fresher Cotto.
It was a fresher Cotto that didn't have an intelligent and dedicated trainer by his side. I think this Cotto, psychologically, is on solid ground. He's beaten Margarito, he's at a new weight trying to re-invent himself. Arguably, this is a better Cotto in most areas. He might be extremely shop-worn, but at least everything else is going right for him.

So, yes Floyd will be given some credit.

I understand your in a tough position. You want to watch the sport you love but 70 dollars to watch a fight on tv is an absolute disgrace. And on top of your $100 a month for cable.

It all comes down to some serious greed.
