Its actually desperate. He dug out an old article and posted it when its already on Boxingscene!! Who does that!?!

I can just picture him getting all worked up n frustrated at all the people slagging off Floyd so he hurriedly copy n pastes the first pro-Floyd article he can find!

Arum would tear Manny's as.s to shreds if he left:

            Cotto expecting $30 million purse

By Rey Colón -The Sport Press

Miguel Cotto (36-2, 29 KOs), who will defend his WBA 154-pound belt on May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0, 25 KOs), will receive the best purse of his life with a 65/35 split of the pay-per-view. Cotto, who until December 31 was tied to Top Rank, traveled to Las Vegas a few weeks ago to hear the offer of Bob Arum before making a decision that was revealed on Wednesday by Mayweather Jr. to NSAC commissioners when he was approved for a 2012 boxing license.

The Sport Press revealed on December 13 that negotiations for the fight were moving forward during the WBC Convention in Las Vegas. The contract itself has not been signed but details are expected to be finalized in about two weeks. Golden Boy Promotions will be the lead promoter along with Mayweather Jr. and Cotto.

Cotto tried to drain Margarito by defending his 154lb tittle at 150 top weight because he can make 150 comfortably and Margarito has to strain to make 150. Margarito refused so they settled on a CATCHWEIGHT of 153. So many hate on Pac for catchweighs but I have never heard a bad word about Cotto for doing exactly the same thing. So when he talks about Floyd doing the right thing by coming to 154 I am thinking yes he did you better than you did Margarito. I remember the morning of the Pacquiao fight Cotto was asked if making 145 was a problem and he said no his condition was perfect. Right after the loss to Pacquiao he was again asked if making 145 had a bad effect on his performance and again he said the weight was no problem, his condition had been fine and it was the speed and volume of Pacquiao's punches that caused his defeat. I never heard Cotto say he was drained untill very recently. Just my opinion.
