Miami seems to be the front runner. Denver and Washington are there, but when you add in weather, taxes, etc (ala Bosh and Lebron) along with Miami's changes w/ coaching staff...this could be the right time. My only concern is how healthy is Manning? With that being said, Ill take an 80% Manning lol.

brother trust me.... ur wasting ur time making sense in hereHe wanted to use pure boxing skill not POWER to defeat the smaller Marquez. I have no doubt that Mayweather could have walked JMM down but nobody would have given him credit for that. As a boxing fan I appreciated the technical brilliance that Mayweather displayed vs Marquez without forcing his size and strength advantage.
Boxing isn't just about knockouts and brawls. Nobody has ever made Juan Manuel Marquez look like a novice in the squared circle. Not even Pacquiao has done that in 3 fights in 8 years.

When you walk someone down you typically show disregard for their offensive weapons and stop them. Don't kid yourself, Floyd couldn't do that to JMM. That's why he outboxed him for 12.When did I say he could KO Marquez? I don't recall typing that in my previous post. Don't put words in my mouth, what I said is that he could have walked him down meaning forced his strength, size, reach and power advantage on him like he did with Mosley. Mayweather was not aggressive in that fight because nobody would have given him credit for that kind of performance.
Now being that Mayweather was coming off a 19 month layoff and completely made the Great Marquez look like he had never boxed a day in his life. Marquez landed %12 of his punches. He threw almost 100 more punches than Mayweather but landed 200 less. Thats phenomenal IMO especially coming against who many claim to be the best Mexican fighter of this generation.Comment

He did get on his bike that fight.Well that puts you in the minority. And cotto never got on his bike in that fight. He did take a couple rounds off, but came back strong during the championship rounds. If anybody got on their bike it was mosley when he noticed that he wasnt gonna hurt cotto. He started bouncing around more and didnt want to exchange as much.
Yes, cotto did handle shane just fine.Comment

Does Miguel Cotto Have a Shot at the Upset?
Cotto has generally been better against boxers where he can assume the role of pressure fighter than against guys that come at him. He struggled with Ricardo Torres, Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao, and Joshua Clottey because they had the power/style to back him up. When he comes forward he is generally more effective, and sits down more on his punches.
I think he will be more effective on the ropes than other Mayweather opponents because his accuracy is underrated, and he is more economical/skilled than Victor Ortiz and Ricky Hatton with his punches. A lot of it will likely depend on if Mayweather stands still or still has the legs to move around.Comment
