Are more people going to favor Cotto beating Mayweather than Pac beating Mayweather?

So people on here ACTUALLY thought Canelo was ready for Floyd?

No they don't, if Floyd would have picked Alvarez they would have said Floyd ducked Cotto....

Like I said, nobody beats Mayweather from 140-154 and this is why no matter who Floyd "picks" people cry about it. Mayweather would have to move up to MW and fight Martinez, then again people would say Martinez is 187 years old.

Cotto presents everything that Floyd looks for in an opponent: perceived to be semi-washed up, big money PPV fighter who has a big following in the states so Floyd can fight in Vegas, plus he can drain Cotto down for a fight at either a catchweight or 147. Floyd is so transparent......I was going to give him credit for fighting Canelo but I knew, just knew that Cotto fit the profile to a T.

I think Cotto is going to push Floyd though.....it'll be a close fight.

This fight was made without any trash talk from either fighter or a promoter. It was made without any accusations being made about one fighter ducking the other. It was made without either fighter suing the other for whatever reason. It was made without anyone trying to manipulate the boxing media to win public support for their side. And it was made without any dispute about the purse split or drug testing. This shows that the bests fights with the best fighters can easily be made as long as Bob Arum is not involved in the negotiations.

If Cotto had resigned with Arum, he would either be fighting a rematch with Pacquaio at 147 or fighting Chavez at 160 in June or July and I am sure that he would have made half as much money as he will against Mayweather. If he had chosen to fight Chavez, the next fight after Chavez would have been against Pacquaio at 147. He wouldn't have had the option of fighting Mayweather or Martinez because, when you sign with Bob Arum, you work for Arum, he doesn't work for you. Leaving Arum was the best thing Cotto could have done.

I hope Pacquaio looks at this situation and realizes just how easy a fight against Mayweather can be made, in spite of what his promoter and his errand boy, Michael Koncz, told him. I also hope that word gets back to Pacquaio after the fight about Cotto earning more money in his fight against Mayweather than Pac will earn in his fight against Timothy Bradley. Maybe these things will actually spur Pac to force Arum to make a fight with Mayweather.

fight is legit at 154. Anything below that and it wouldn't be legit. Cotto is a bit shopworn though.
