Do you believe that Wlad was drugged in his fight with Brewster?

Wladimir is kind of like a big engine with a small radiator. He overheats pretty easily. He has a suspect chin and let's face it, he needs to win by the middle rounds by KO or he's in quite a bit of trouble.

Drugged? NO. He has alot of real estate for his heart to deliver blood to. He may not have the cardiovascular system to match his body.

I think that the proper training could help him quite a bit, but he still is going to have a propensity to wear out.

        That's a great point.

An objection could be that Vitaliy has proven that he can fight high-output lengthy fights (e.g. vs Sanders and Willams) and do very well. Wlad is not identical to Vitaliy but he is Vitaliy's brother and they train similarly.

          nope, no hatin' here.

i admire the guy. he's a breath of fresh air, like kostya tszyu was. someone who's doesn't feel the need to talk **** about everybody to get attention.

to me, an excess of trash talking makes fighters look so insecure. too many carbon-copy **** talkers out there as it is.

You can argue in the Williams/Sanders fight is that it was completely one sided and Vitali never took any punishment and basically carried them until the stoppages. So not much damage was inflicted, but Vitali is a monster...I am still astonished that a super heavyweight can throw an uppercut combination...I am still in ahh of that Williams fight even though Williams is crap, it was still one hell of a performance for a one man show.

At that point I think Boswell was undefeated. Wasn't that pre-McCline? Boswell would have been about like Peter or Brock is now. Probably more like Brock...

As for my take... Don't know about that whole drug theory.. But he sure didn't look himself..

He had veins popping all over his face (forehead, neck) I believe he also looked as pale as Michael Jackson...(LOL it's ironic I'm comparing the paleness of a 'White Russian' to a black guy)
Bottom line, he didn't look well....

Didn't he also have his sugar level close to 400?

brewster was lucky that the ref wasn't stingy in the fourth round, because i've seen fights halted on much less.

did anybody else notice that wladimir tripped over the ref's feet after the end of the fifth. definitely couldn't call that a knockdown.
was it ruled a knockdown, though? Wlad couldn't continue, but I don't know how that was scored. Who remembers?

That would be being fatigued and overtrained and unproper nutrition...It was a variety of things that Steward should have had in order.
