You obviously don't know very much about Augustus and haven't seen him fight very often.

To get an idea of why he has 24 "losses", take a look at some of his reccent fights against Courtney Burton (Augustus clearly won about 8 of 10 rounds and the scores were as such, only for Burton) or his fight agaisnt Tomas Barrientes where he was ahead and DQ'd because the ref didn't like how he moves.

Augustus has so many losses because he constnantly took fights on no notice with little training in other guys home towns.

Augustus feels that of all his losses, 3 men really beat him.

Floyd Mayweather has the utmost respect for Augustus, and said he was his toughest opponent.

Don't just look at his record and write him off. That's was a casual fan would do.

augustus is actually a hell of a fighter despite what his record may seemingly indicate. too many people just look at boxingrec.com and come to conclusions. this guy can really fight. i would be rooting for emmanuel in this fight.

          next he takes out hatton!

See, just like Trinidad, Cotto follows in the footsteps of making nobodies into somebodies...Augustus is the next Vivan Harris, all hype, and just for Cotto.

Hes the next anti-Cotto hope...I bet Augustus wouldnt make it past ten with Corley...

You have no idea what you're talking about.

There's no secrets about Augustus, he's been around for years.

Everyone (with half a clue) knows who he is and what he brings to the ring.

You talk like because it's only reccently you've learned about him that it means he's new to the scene.

While it's obvious he's new to you, he's nothing new.

I suggest you watch his fights with Mickey Ward, Alex Trujillo and Mayweather.

If he was some flash in the pan, he would have been exposed in those fights.

Instead, he fought the fight of the year with Ward, gave Pretty boy one of his toughest fights, and exposed a Rican flash in the pan in Trujillo shutting him out.

You just have nothing to say about him beating Alex Trujillo 119-108, do you?

Why should I care if he did? I dont even know who Alex is...Cotto is a new breed, not Alex, so what happened there means nothing...
