This guyis annoying and getting on my nerves. Devon needs a new trainer that actually knows how to train. If he figjts Maidana with cunninham as his trainer Im pretty sure h will get ktfo. Devon if your reading this you should team up with roach or steward if you wanna go to the next level.

Cunningham seems more like a cheerleader and spokes person than a trainer....dude need to tone down a lil' and go about his job in a more PROFESSIONAL type manner!!

I really think we are about to see the downward slide of Alexander's career...

Why was Devon not able to "pull the trigger"? I mean, I won't just completely bash Devon, the headbutts could have had alot to do with it. Now lets just face facts, Devons has stepped up his comp in his last two fights, and has not looked good at all.

Now if the headbutts did have something to do with the way Devon fought, how is a very aggressive Maidana going to weigh on Devon's mental? Maidana is going to make it a very ruff night....

I think Devon and his team should think about this. Sorry, but I just don't see Devon with the mental, or the ability to adjust (when things are not going his way)...

I think Maidana Ko's Devon...And i'm not even that high on Maidana persay, but I also don't think Devon has these super skills people seem to think he does.

LIke I said before, this will be a "will vs skill" fight...I think will is going to take it.

On A Side Note: Worst thing folks can do is compare this to the Urango fight...For many reasons.

If Devon was effected by Butts he should blame himself for grabbing Bradley and thinking Bradley would not keep punching..Devon's game plan was weak flurry the try to tie Bradley up,he caused most of the butts..Anyway I totally agree with you Devon is not ready for Maidana..Maidana off's him then puts his career on the shelf..

Bold: Trust me, I agree 100%. Said so after the fight. Devon came in the fight looking to flurry and hug, not to win (or maybe he really thought that would win him the fight)...

I'll tell you this, if Devon comes into a Maidana fight looking to just back up and flurry, with no footwork, no head movement, and just head hunting (all things he does right now!!!!)...He will fall. In fact, it might be a brutal KO (ala JT taking a nap in the coner thanks to Pavlik)!

one poster (i can't remember) put it well in a thread a few days ago when he said "devon didn't quit, he just saw a way out, and took it. it happens. . . " in my opinion devon was frustrated and had already compromised too much vision from head butts he knew he couldn't do anything but pump a jab and move for the last two rounds, so he just took his chances on the cards.

and it was the 10th round in a stalemate, stale fight. . . so all circumstances considered, i can't really hold this against devon too much. cunningham saved face pretty well by immediately responding to maidana so fast with confidence.

but oh yeah, maidana more then likely stops alexander inside of 6 - bad style matchup. and maidana has very fast feet, despite average hand speed. bradley, however, MIGHT be able to out point maidana if he makes it a boring fight.
