This seems like a 50/50 fight to me. Either one can take it. Cotto is the better boxer and he's got those nasty body punches, but can he take the constant pressure from Maidana and his heavy hands? Imo, I don't think he can (at least in the second half of the fight) unless he beats Maidana up pretty good in the earlier rounds or lands another liver shot like Khan, which is very possible. But if he can't then I see Maidana ko Cotto in the mid to late rounds.

I see Maidana alot like Margarito. I think Cotto can outclass him all night long but he just keeps coming..... Hopefully the new Cotto has better head movement and footwork...

Then I see an easy decision by Cotto.

The problem with Cotto is that he cant take what he can dish out. I can see him outboxing Maidana but damn Marcos a bull. My gut says Maidana in late ko.

Maidana's a slower than Torres.

Cotto by TKO in 6.

Cotto might hit the deck once or get hurt.

Im going to say this. Maidana cant take shots to the body. Cotto body shot is a killer. Maidana has no defense.

Yes maidana can apply pressure like margarito. The difference between the two is that Maidana doesnt have a granite chin and is weak to the body. Dude got dropped 3 times against Ortiz.

Cotto by mid round KO after overcoming some trouble earlier. As one poster already mentioned I think it would play out similarly to the Torres fight.
