Tim Bradley -vs- Juan Manuel Marquez Official Thread!

Who wins Tim Bradley -vs- Juan Manuel Marquez.. I think this would be a very competitive fight. JMM's precision punching vs Bradley's will and aggression. Both durable with good recovery abilities and good endurance. General consensus is JMM doesn't really have much business above 135, but bear in mind Tim Bradley is not a very tall JWW. So, how would everyone see this fight playing out?

Bradley is too big and strong. Height wont have anything to do with this fight. Bradley would batter JMM.

There's also good potential for multiple knockdowns. I think this is the type of stylistic matchup, that HBO is really looking for. A good crossroads fight with the young lion vs crafty veteran. Also, I think Tim has done a good job with all comers, and he needs to put a name of note on his resume. Even a Zab type, just to give him a little recognition with the more casual fans.

I believe you're mistaken if you don't think Bradley would feel JMM's sharp counter punching. Also, for a guy who can be a bit wild and lunge, JMM's methodical stay in the pocket/pick apart style might be perfect.

I actually would prefer a Judah fight.

Like I said before if you can counter Floyd and Pacquiao like JMM has, then he can counter anyone.

My only thing is the size and strength difference. Bradley is a tough, very strong fighter. I just think for the much older Marquez it would be a daunting task.

Good question. Their heads are equal in size, but Tim knows how to use his better.

Tim's doing great work, but I think it would benefit him to put Judah on his resume. It would be good in terms of pushing him in the direction of a Pac or Maywather clash. Personally I think Bradley might be able to even stop Judah. Would be entertaining.

Marquez does very well against pressure fighters...but i dont know how he'd look at 140 against the division's best

                    Interesting fight.

I'm not sold on just giving that fight to Bradley off the jump because of the style match up. JMM at this point of his career isn't the same guy who fought Pac the 2nd time, but I think his experience overall will carry him through the fight. Also, I don't think Bradley's power even matches that of Maidana (for 140lber) and or is he as precise with his punching as JMM can be.

I do think Bradley would get hit with some wicked counter punches in the fight. Whether he can withstand that for 12 rounds is a mystery, but I wouldn't doubt Bradley at all.
