boxing to me is like an art..i notice lil things alot of people dont..not just the punches but how the fighter positioned their feet, moved their hips,fainted..how they get in position to land and avoid punches..its beautiful

I enjoy boxing regardless. Ive been in the ring, had injuries to my ankle that never recovered so I started training a stablemate per his request. He turns pro this year and its very exciting!!!! Point being, if you have boxing background, you love it all. I enjoy watching the science, and watching all types and breeds of fighters. But, not having ko power is rough for the non boxing enthusiast to get pumped about. I can honestly say the only fight I found to actually be boring was the Mosley Mora fight, that was horrible. But, Bradley is a good fighter, and I think his lack of power has more to do with the torque of his punches rather than a lack therof. He is wide with alot of his shots and really takes the zip off the shot. His straight right hand, isnt straight. When he hurt Abregu with that right hand, he didnt trun into the shot and could have benefitted in that instance by bringing his feet with him for half a step. But, he's a good fighter, I just wish he was more technically sound. But...all he does is win, and thats what counts. Hopefully the Khan fight comes off and we will see what happens

At the end of the day, the best and most entertaining fights are the brawls.

Power in boxing is vital, if everyone pitty patted, then the fight would be boring. Heck we judge a round if someone hits a little harder than the other guy if they hit the same amount of times.

Pacquiao is not from America and has a success in PPV because he has power and gets hit. The best selling non American I believe as well.

Of course power alone is nothing without some skill.

Its not only the lack of power that we witness, but also the lack of technical boxing Saturday. It was a very amateur fight between two green fighters. Bradley is skilled with his footwork, and inside fighting, but don't know how to throw any straight punches. All of his punches are loopy. And Alexander, well his ass quit which made thing worst. So we ended up having a dud instead of a fight of year candidate that everyone thought it would be.

At least i know montiel and donaire is going to put a show. They both are more skilled than these 2 and we can either see a technical fight or a war.

yeah, but that "art" should translate into violence. people want to see violence.

They're not real hardcore boxing fans, that's why. They only wanna see knockouts and blood, that's why a lot of people watch MMA.

you saying real hardcore boxing fans don't wanna see knockouts and blood?

so you want boxers to fight with sparring gloves right? cause you don't wanna see knockouts or blood.
