I think that fighters should face the best possible opposition available, and I think that fighters should do their best to earn good money in what is a relatively short and very dangerous profession.

That being said...I think Katsidis should take a rest from hard fights for a while. I'm not suggesting that he fights bums but have a year where he fights guys who he is not going to take heavy shots from all night regardless of whether he wins or loses. People like David Diaz, Gavin Rees etc. are not bad fighters but not likely to beat him and would make for respectable opposition.

It seems that Juan Diaz is already past-prime at such a young age, Katsidis is going to go the same way if he follows such a hard fight with JMM by stepping up in weight to take on a world class opponent.
