You cant count him out, he did drop Maidana 3 times in 2 rounds and look at the beast Maidana turned out to be all along.

You mean right before he quit...

The Maidana fight told me all I needed to know about Victor Ortiz.

Hmm. I thought Ortiz beat Peterson, who was tough and came to fight. A draw won't kill his career. He needs to get going though. Beating Berto would mean a lot. My whole thing is, it's a lose lose for Berto pretty much.

Problem with Vargas was they threw him in with the lions (Trinidad) too early in his career. Another year of experience and he may have beaten him. He got beaten badly and was never the same.
Ortiz looks great the early half of the fight. If he can't seem to take you out he seems to slack and take one too many hits. He needs to be a little more disciplined.

Alot of boxer's don't like getting hit so they learn how to box, Ortiz has terrible footwork and stays in to get hit too often. He's a slugger that doesn't want to be hit, a terrible combination. He should have FM SR to train him.

Great fighters don't use there head to block an overhand right, Ortiz is as good as he ever was, which is to say not very.

I think Ortiz is in for a comeback. I don't want to count him out just yet.
