These people should stand back and see how bitter they sound.

I just want to see how he performs in the ring against Mosley and am still hoping for that fight with Floyd or (BIG maybe) Martinez.

      Not really.

There have been some great fights fought at catchweights.

Hell one of my favorite fights when I was a kid was Tapia vs Ayala and that was at a catchweight.

Sometimes you guys get to caught up in menial thing's instead of just enjoying a fight. There's just too much whiney and crying from boxing fans now n days. If neither fighter is hurt by the catchweight.....what does it matter?

The comment below from Roach and Ariza, was made before the Margarito fight, so Manny never intended to fight a genuine junior middleweight.....

"But, like Freddie and Alex told me, from here on out Manny will stick to the welterweight division. They feel 147 pounds is the realistic limit for him and I can’t disagree. They know the fighter inside out."

        http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/10...-pacman-fights

They just cheated a vacant JMW title fighting a ww bum, nothing more.

But johncods has no problem with that because " pac holds the cards ".

then why is he even watching boxing?

you are never assured that every fight you pay to watch goes exactly as planned or that you are guaranteed to be happy with the results.

if he doesn't like who pac fights, then don't watch him fight.

to use your ice cream analogy, its like he's eating vanilla ice cream and complains that he wants chocolate...

but then continues eating the vanilla ice cream. its understandable that he finishes it since he already paid for it.

but then he still goes out and announces to the world that "VANILLA ICE CREAM SUCKS!!!!!", "AND I HATE IT! I HATE IT! I HATE IT!"

you'd understand the stares he would elicit.

I guess it matters if the one they are rooting against wins.

You dudes are overrating Martinez just because he KO'd PWilliams.

News flash.....that **** was gonna happen sooner or later, whether it had been Shane Mosley, Alfredo Angulo or any heavy handed puncher. Paul was just asking for it with the way he abandoned his defense, leaned forward and walked into punches.

If Martinez is such as beast as you guys are making him out to be, why didn't he destroy Cintron? Margarito did (and made Kermit look like a b1tch) but Martinez couldn't?

He won't fight Martinez because he can't win.

= No more big money for Arum

= No hype for Mayweather showdown

The weight is an excuse, simple.

If no one has su****ions or if you are alright with the fact manny went from 129 lbs in March of 08 to 142 lbs in December 08 with gaining muscle mass and no fat, gaining power and not losing hand speed then I'm guess I'm ok with it to lol, during the diaz fight, David told his trainer manny is not hurting me I just can't see his punches

Like I say, enjoy smoking leaf and drinking catpiss.

Even if maybe you did get a nice buzz off it one day

There are only two possible reasons to demand a catch-weight.

1.) you are not good enough to compete with your opponent at his natural weight

2.) you are attempting to drain him to gain an unfair advantage

                    Catch-weight fights are a joke.

                    Enjoy your sideshow fights

Don't condone catch-weights, and then whine about folks dissin Pac

No manny cant beat him, because Martinez actually has great footwork, is slick, fast hands. Power, manny doesn't stand a chance against Martinez, your overrating manny because he beat a couple of punching bags.
