Comments Thread For: Stieglitz's Promoter Rejects Offer To Face Mikkel Kessler?

AS previously reported several days ago, Sauerland Event submitted an offer to Ulf Steinforth of SES, the manager/promoter of WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (39-2, 23 KOs), to have his boxer face the returning Mikkel Kessler (43-2, 32 KOs) in June. The offer was around 500,000 EUR, but it appears Steinforth is not taking the offer serious and says there are other plans for his boxer.

          Stieglitz should rematch Andrade.

He should try and avenge that loss.

when did boxing become about facing who's best? it's just a money making scheme. you match your fighters up carefully until they gather a following. once you have that following you rake in the money with soft opponents. the "best" person to face is someone you know you will beat.

I have always wondered who you are! You're smart and cynical, but enjoyable.

I was EXPECTING daggum to comment in this thread.

Your hatred for European boxers rules your life daggum. It's rather sick, really.

perhaps thats true, but his post was correct. nor did he mention Europeans in it.

are you really going to defend Stieglitz not fighting Kessler?
