are you really going to defend Stieglitz not fighting Kessler?
I'm not really defending it, but it's not an important enough fight for you and daggum to bitch about.

Interestingly, you never say much about Floyd ducking Pacquiao, although that is potentially the biggest fight in boxing.

Ive said a million times that I want to see Pacquiao vs Mayweather, and have said in the past that Floyd is the reason the fight isnt happening since hes off on vacationland.
      That was a failure.

And for someone like Kessler to be denied a 'title' shot is ******, Stieglitz is simply holding the title hostage like Berto has been doing for forever.

Whats up with guys like him and alot of euro poster on here thinking people discriminate their boxers when ever you mention anything bad about even one of them. Its clear that robert is a paper holder defending againts the most obscure challengers. But he should at least rematch andrade.

Honestly Stieglitz would be rather foolish to fight Kessler, since he for sure would lose the strap. Then considering that he probably wouldn't be able to win it back from Kessler (either because he couldn't beat him or because he wouldn't get the chance), he would have to wait to get it back from someone else. That someone else would probably be even better than Kessler, so not much chance there either.

What's next then? Fading into oblivion - most likely without another payday coming along. And all that for 500K?

Nah - it should be better for him to keep fighting bums making a decent salary doing so in Germany.

Becoming paper champ is a once-in-a-lifetime chance and defending it is hard work. The real hassle being avoiding all those real boxers calling you out.

Kessler should try and offer a bit more, but at the end of the day these paper titles don't mean anything anymore, it's about who you beat.

If I was Kessler's promoter I would be trying to get him a fight with Mendy for the IBF mandatory position. Mendy isn't too hard a comeback opponent and it means that Bute will have to fight Kessler afterwards or give up his belt.

No surprises here. Who accepts the first offer anyway? By now both parties have gauge the interest in the public as well as in their respective camps. I await the next move.

Regarding papertitles. I sort of disagree that stieglitz is just a paperchamp. Well he is a paperchamp to us as hardcore fans, but to those who pay his purse, ie the german public, he is a real champ and his value as a ticketseller would plummit if he didnt have the strap.

                Danish pastry

Kessler and his people will have to keep digging for another stiff with a good padded record like his, I guess? After his complete fraud, pulling out of the tournament no one except in Denmark where he received his early "Christmas" present against Froch, gives a **** ass who or if he fights again.. Let's see Bute, Froch, Hopkins, Johnson and real, fighters not frauds like Kessler...

Yeah. Let's see. Kissing 5M USD, an almost certain win over Green and a semifinal return against Froch goodbye because of a fake injury? Yep. That makes sense.

Doesn't make sense to me either. Kessler would surely have beaten Green.
