That tells you all you need to know about Dirrell's heart. He didn't want to risk getting manhandled by Ward and getting bounced from the Super 6. After stinking out the joint vs. Froch(even though he won the fight), then putting on the act he did vs. Abraham(even though AA was rightfully DQed), it would have really set his career back maybe permanently if he stepped in the ring and got ******ed by Ward.

That's why he was so concerned over the money Showtime was putting in the pot. He knew it may have been his last significant payday maybe ever.

I don't think Dirrell's injury was legitimate, but he is a good fighter and I'm excited to see him fight again.
