When it's all said and done he will go down as an all-time great. If he goes up to 135 and somehow beats the winner of Corrales/Castillo II then I would say he is Mexico's greatest fighter.

To me Morales would have to beat Corrales or castillo at 135 then i would rank him over Chavez as the greatest Mexican fighter.

Morales is possibly the greatest Mexican Warrior, but i still think Chavez was the better Fighter.

That would change though if he either beat a super top class fighter at 135 or Knocked out Marco Antonio barrera in the very near future.

HBO DOUBLEHEADER HIGHLIGHTS THE SPORTS BEST!

It is hard to fathom that we have had him for nearly a decade but the ultimate warrior of boxing, Mexico’s Erik Morales, has indeed been a presence for that long. He has reigned at or near the top of every division from 122 to 130 since defeating Hall of Famer Daniel Zaragoza in 1997 and has quietly amassed the sort of record that any fighter, in any generation, would be proud to have.

he needs to beat barrera to be considered an all timer

He did beat barerra (at least once) and had the third fight been 15 rounds, Morales wins.

Erik Morales is already an all time great, he's fought and beaten the very best for years now and he's only been beaten by one man, and thats up for debate.
