Devon shudda asked for 5 mins...

His demeanor afterwards didn't seem like he thought he may have won...(before the scorecards)...I doubt he gambled and tried to see if he cud steal it on the cards...

dude he quit...he looked up and realized that he had to endure 3 more rounds of Timmy's pressure

it was a Black Victor Ortiz last night....but at least Victor emptied his clip before quitting

Devon should have continued, he showed balls taking the fight and risking his record and titles but showed a lack of guts by bailing out after a poor performance. He deserves the heat he is getting, Young fighters coming up need to know this ***** is NOT ok! He was a champion fighting on the big stage and should have been setting an example

This type of thing makes u appreciate a guy like Cotto, he was cut far worse than Devon against Clottey in a fight where he had to Know he was ahead on the cards but in for a rough night, did he quit? No he fought on like a real fighter should

i agree with those besides ishe. and if anyone knows me as a fan and boxer i give all boxers the utmost respect. but when i see you quit and look for easy way out when things not going your way ala ortiz dirrell now devon then i lost alot of respect for you. i still have some because you are a prizefighter and you still train and fight but your lacking heart and determination that warrior spirit that will allow you to fight until you win or lose to the end

                You may be right...

Devon can wipe away last night with a good performance against another contender at 140...

Nah man, the doctor was trying to keep the fight going and Devon was the one that kept saying he couldn't see. He clearly opened both eyes when prompted by the doctor and he should have asked for some time but he just kept saying it burns and I can't see. Right when they announced the scores, Devon was in the corner looking bummed out while Bradley had his hands in the air....he knew he was going to lose. In the post fight interview he blamed it all on the doctor for stopping the fight and both his eyes were wide open then and he never made another reference to it.

He felt he couldn't win and Bradley was overwhelming him.

He was already being hit with big shots. And if he slips into that mindset something very serious could have happened.

It makes sense to not take unnecessary punishment. He chose that as his way out and I don't blame him. His health comes first. The ridiculing of him is disgusting.

He has to work on his errors and comeback stronger. Keeping his health intact allows him to do this.
