It's just a fight man. Have you seen the attendances of fights in Vegas as of late? If we want to get boxing big in the states again you have to branch out to the cities where people live. Detroit was a proud boxing city and now look, 6300 people. Boxing killed interest in many cities and needs to go back to them. It won't be pretty at first but it is something that needs to be done for the sake of the sport.Comment

If i lived in that area i would want the fight there to but with the way Devon draws in St. Louis it just doesnt make sense to have the fight anywhere else. I agree that Vegas and even AC have been weak lately and boxing does need to branch out but they should be a little more conscious of fighters hometown, nationalities, and star level before they pick a venue. It looks bad for the sport when a supposed "superfight" cant fill a venue and the place is dead. It's just a fight man. Have you seen the attendances of fights in Vegas as of late? Never will happen. Attendance doesn't mean much to HBO. What matters to HBO is ratings and there is no way they will have that kind of fight at 5pm. They have done it a few times for Klitschko but not for a fight that has that much interest for American boxing. The fight will happen in Vegas.Comment

That's the perfect scenerio though. Problem is the fight wasn't going to happen in St.Louis because of what happened in the Kotelnik fight. The other problem is the people of the Silverdome people offered the most money. Money talks, bull**** walks. It is what it is.If i lived in that area i would want the fight there to but with the way Devon draws in St. Louis it just doesnt make sense to have the fight anywhere else. Look at this stadium would be a sell out too.
