Remember last year? When we went months without fights until November came? Because, they're over blowing their budget.

So us fans suffer went we don't get fights no? So why should we not care against if we the one that suffer at the end?

HBO are the big dawgs they do not have to outbid themselves but yet they still do. I'm glad they made this fight but they did over pay. And, now both fighters have a guarantee to have their next fight on HBO(no matter against who mind you) and get paid 7 figures again.
        Good post bro...

HBO had no idea how the fight would go. So you can't blame them for what happened and how the fight finished.

HBO gave the fans the fight they asked for and demanded. You guys are making it seem like this was the worst fight in years. I have seen worst fights than this and it wasn't that horrible. Blame Devon for quitting.
Once again...I'm not blaming HBO for the outcome of the fight. I only stated that they blew way too much money on this fight and is more than likely kicking themselves in the ass right now. Especially since both fighters have guarantees for thier next fights on the network.

Did HBO overpaid for the fight? Yes, but you have to understand these guys aren't going to be fighting for 500K each. They're not going to take less than market value when similar guys like Berto are making over a million per fight.

HBO needs to make sure Bradley or Devon fights someone like Khan next to make sure they don't lose money.

Something like Bradley vs. Khan and JMM vs. Devon would make them millions. HBO has to make sure Bradley and Devon fight another big name fighter in their next fight so they don't lose money by having to pay them a million.

Edit: Be realistic because there is no way HBO can put quality fights when guys are demanding too much money for fights. HBO really has no choice, but to overpay sometimes to give the fans what they want. There was no way Bradley and Devon were going to agree to fight unless they got a good deal from HBO. It was not worth the risk to fight for something like 700K.

You tell me what you think each fighter should of made for this fight.

Most of these clowns wouldnt knw wat Boxing was if it wasnt for HBO. But since certain companies bytch about HBO, they join in d/t their fav fighter using another network.

As for the fight, it went how I thought it would. neither of these guys are anything special. from the punches to the footwork all spelled Golden Gloves to me.

                  Let's see...

Either HBO overpays to give the fans what they want, or the fans don't get the fight they want and demand?

Not a hard choice for HBO to make a fight in demand.

Both guys were only willing to fight if they got paid for the fight.

Why not? ESPN will not pay any one that much money, Showtime? Showtime doesn't have the budget to pay Bradley and Alexander. Where other place will the fighters get that kind of payday? Is king and Shaw going to do a PPV? Really?

Thank you for making my point. Why is Berto getting overpaid? Why is HBO outbidding their own selves? And, when we only have 2 shows in a 4 month period during the summer why shouldn't we care agaiN?

Sure, does what HBO needs to do? But, they have no power right now. King can set up a fight between Kendall Holt who won tonight against Alexander. And, HBO would have to pay for that fight and pay Devon 7 figures. But, ahh it doesn't matter right?

Now think about it for a second, if they over paid for this fight. Do you not think they will not outbid themselves for those fights?

I mean Bradley would want more money for Khan than what he got for Alexander, Khan would want more money than Bradley. JMM would want a nice 7 figures as well.

That is the problem when you overpay for fights. It has a domino effect. And, then we go weeks without fights sometimes months. Because, they blew their budget. But, us fans shouldn't care.

Most of the freaking fans don't even pay for HBO anyways.
