Chavez will get murdered by anyone legit at 154-160. I am actually shocked he handled Duddy so easily.
duddy was a terrible fighter with no defense. even lyell beat him. all duddy had was aggression but he even changed that midway through his career. so he had nothing.

The writeup on ********* is hilarious:

"Unbeaten WBC #1 middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (42-0-1, 30 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round unanimous decision over Billy Lyell (22-9, 4 KOs) on Saturday night before a crowd on 12,000+ at the Estadio Banorte in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Chavez was on a “seek and destroy” mission, looking to use his superior firepower to beat down the outgunned Lyell. The scrappy Lyell battled to the end, but Chavez prevailed 99-92, 96-94, 98-92. Chavez retained his WBC silver belt and is in line to face Sebastian Zbik for the WBC middleweight title."

He did not beat down anyone. He was outworked and backed up for most of the second half of the fight. It was not at all one-sided. How would the fight ever be scored 96-94 for JCC Jr., in Mexico, if the ********* description were the least bit accurate?

I am watching the fight now and Lyell is taking the fight to him big time. What a big goof that Chavez is.

Yeah, I know Duddy kind of sucks. And I know Lyell out-toughed him. But Chavez is a young, growing, supposedly improving "prospect"... How could he look this bad against Lyell??? He had the size advantage, the home court advantage, he is supposed to be an improving fighter... LOL, truth is he just sucks.

Eventually they have to put him in with a real fighter and he will get disgraced. But I am still shocked that he was able to dominate a guy like Duddy. I am not saying Duddy is good. I am saying Chavez is bad.

i really don't think he gives a damn about boxing. he's never in very great shape and i hear stories about how he never trains. he's just making easy money against soft opponents thanks to nepotism.

i don't think he has the desire to get better or become good. he subscribes to the "if it's working keep doing it" theory. it's working against bums but barely working at that. maybe he will try to get a belt and defend it 50 times but it will never be against anyone good. even pawel wolak was too dangerous and he pulled out of a fight with him.
