Joe Louis is the best I've ever seen at any weight, but I have nothing but respect for Ray Robinson.

It's funny how people say Julio Cesar Chavez(Ultimate LOL!) is the greatest fighter of all time haahhahahahah

but for real some people just act like he beat bums n ****...

he has beat over 10 hall of famers...and has everything someone can dream of and definately got KO power in both hands, iron chin, fast feet, fast hands, good defense, good offense, and most importantly...STYLE!

All I've ever heard is that he is the Michael Jordan of boxing. The GOAT. I regret to say I've never seen him fight.

its pretty simple why people consider him overrated...
              1) he is old, many times people focus on the fighters of now, and not as much as the guys from the 50's and such...also, few people have seen fights of his, i can speak for this, ive only seen about ten of his fights, mostly his biggest ones...
              2) becuase many people cant watch him fight, they look at his record. granted, 173 wins is amazing, but he also has 19 losses, and many of those wins came at the beginning of his career, when he was fighting fighters of lesser skill.

those are a few reasons in which certian people, who are uninformed, consider him overrated.

imo, he isnt overrateed, its all a matter of opinion, i believe hes one of the top five fighters of all time, but i think a prime hagler defeats a prime srr....so whatever floats your boat

People knock him as a middleweight because the best guys he fought were white and there arent many good white middleweights. I always say it would be nice to see Gene Fulmer vs Marvin Hagler
