The heavyweight showdown, between up and comers Berman Stiverne (19-1-1) and Kerston Manswell (20-0-0), will now have the WBC International championship at stake. The fight is scheduled to take place on the Timothy Bradley-Devon Alexander undercard on Saturday night at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. Stiverne has a seven fight win streak with six of those by knockout. Masnwell, unbeaten since starting his career in 2004, has ended fifteen of his fights by knockout.

stiverne has 19 wins vs nobody but has lost to journeyman canadian killer demetrice king(who beat olubawali) & a draw with journeyman charles davis.this tells me that he has proven nothing in 21 fights & when he stepped up to fighting decent trialhorses,he has had a tough go.he's 0-1-1 vs C level opponents.manswell beat corey sanders(not wlads conquerer)& has really done nothing as well.the combined records look good but neither has a credible win to this point.stiverne will be matched cafefully by don king but i don't see him going far.a win vs manswell gets him a regional title & top 15 WBC ranking which will get him into the WBC picture.the winner will be in line for bigger fights.i'm not convinced stiverne is the real deal.would have liked him to stay in canada fighting.some decent fights could have been made here first. if he beats guys like pajkic & fields then i could take him more seriously...
