    Fighters do find that they struggle to lose the extra pounds to campaign in a weight class they were once comfortable in which is why they move up weight.
    Thats why fighters starts young, so naturally and slowly, they could grow as they age. but when their body peaks, dont you think so if you already achieve what you want in a division, you dont wanna test your skills in a higher weight?

      It's much harder to move up from 147 on up, than it is anywhere below.

      You hardly see a size/strength difference at 125-130-135. Whereas from 147 to 154, you start to see the difference.

      Hell someone like Roy Jones should be praised for all eternity. Nitpick all you want about his cherrypicking, but from 160 to 168 to 175 to 200....not easy. Yes it was gradual, but you could clearly feel the difference in opponents size/strength every time.

          Roy Jones not just move up in weight to fight for a heavy title, he went down after. Just imagine what effect it put on his body. It shorted his boxing career thats for sure.
