I gave Adamek a pass for the Maddalone fight because it was his forth fight in 2010 and he had fought, and beat, several decent opponents. But, this sucks, Kevin McBride is a moving punching bag; actually "moving" might be a stretch.

This fight is a total mismatch and it does nothing in the way of preparation for a Klitschko fight. I'll watch this fight, but I don't approve of it..

Several news outlets in Poland are reporting that an agreement has been put together for an April fight between Tomasz Adamek (43-1, 28 KOs) and Kevin McBride (35-8-1, 29 KOs). McBride stands at 6'6 and viewed by Adamek's camp a suitable opponent before his scheduled fight with WBO/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko in September.

Sorry but you can't be critical of the Harrision fight if ur gonna let this McBride fight be considered acceptable. I understand the tune-up fight but just not with McBride that's a joke is he even in the top 50 HW at da moment I doubt it. I am sure they could find a better opponent which Adamak could still beat relatively easily.

Its a stay busy, make some money type fight and one last tune up with a taller HW, just like Wlad fighting Chisora was a stay busy, make some money type fight and a bit of a tune up. I love hay fans logic in these situation. Critcizing people saying, "Adamek made a safe pick to prepare and make sure he gets the Wlad fight" by saying "why would Wlad risk the Haye fight with Chisora...." Adamek's fighting right? He's not just sitting at home waiting? So why do you expect Wlad to do that? Boxers need to box more...only Haye fans will argue that they should box less.

Here is the Wlad hater logic right here, let me break it down for you:

You need more than 9 weeks between fights. If you don't have 9 weeks theres no way you can be properly trained

But Adamek has no world title.

Wow you really try spin anything don't you. Firstly Harrision had just won the Eurpoean title in his best ever fight as HW in a 12 round KO how is that being shot. Secondly if you think it is much worse then some of K2 defences you must be blinded by staring at Wlad's nut sack through most of his fights. Thompson isn't much better than Harrision only difference is Wlad is scared to finish a fight early in case that glass in his jaw shatters.

Adamak can have a tune-up but against such poor opposition I don't really see the point he might as well just have a longer training camp.
