Trainer Emanuel Steward, speaking with Gareth Davies of The Telegraph, gave his opinion on why a fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is not happening. Steward believes Pacquiao's handlers and being very selective with his opponents, and on the other end, Steward says Mayweather is scared to death of losing his undefeated record, which some say is important to him than money.

Steward just recently claimed in another interview that Pac is top 20 ATG at least and praised his victories against bigger and stronger opponents. Don't these people keep track of what they're saying in these interviews?

Mayweather is not afraid, you Pac fans get your boy to take the test and then it's on. Sugar Shane took the tests and see what happened to him. Maybe that is how Pac-man is being protected.

when he demanded ost, he pretty much showed he was'nt confident of beating pac..he says pac is easy yet he needs extra testing?...lol

when floyd was no show with the 2nd negotiation of the fight ..then later claimed there was no negotiation ..he's cowardice got exposedd again since greenburg confirmed they tried to make the fight..

how many boxing afficionados blame floyd for the fight not happening for you *****s to see it like it is....from steward to bert sugar, to aaron pryor to duran..to hollyfield to cooney,hagler to toney etc....

Demanding OST has nothing to do with confidence. Floyd demanded OST of Shane, when Shane agreed, the deal was inked. End of story, no ulterior motives, no underlining thoughts. Agree to testing and we fight. Your argument there would hold some weight if FLoyd had flaked on Shane after Shane agreed. Then I would wholeheartedly agree with you. but Floyd didn't. Floyd laid out his 1 demand and that was "shane, submit to testing and we can fight." Shane said "ok." Fight was inked.

Of all the ppl who was calling Floyd a coward: ESPN, Steward, Sugar, Pryor, Duran, Cooney, Hagler etc... None of them had proof of this mythical 2nd bout of negotiations. Floyd's stance has been made publicly by him even in interviews. And finally, Manny has agreed to a 14 cutoff.

The fact is, Team Manny is more cleaver a winning public perception battles. This fiasco was was birthed when Manny went into an uproar about the OST request. Shane handled it professionally. "Yes, I'll test because I have nothing to hide and why walk away from millions over a blood test?"- Shane Mosley. What did Manny do? Got ticked off, and replied with 3 major demands of his own- ALL OF WHICH FLOYD AGREED TO. Then Manny cancelled 1st round of negotiations. Then Team Manny launched a damage control campaign that was designed to take the focus away from "why Manny would walk away from a potentially $50-$100 million dollar pay day just because he doesn't want to give blood" and put the focus on Floyd by suggesting that Floyd only requested OST and a 60/40 split because he knew that was his only way out of the fight.

Very clever. Politics 101. In the mean time, the masses completely overlook the fact that Floyd followed through with his word in an identical situation with SHANE MOSLEY. "Test, and we fight!" Shane agreed, they fought.

Manny instead, launched lawsuits for defamation, offered up excuses such as religious beliefs, superstition, fear (afraid of needles- even though he has tattoos). All because Manny just didn't want to prove to the world he was clean through random OST. In the meantime while they exert tons of energy to put the spotlight on Floyd, Mayweather sits back with the same 1 demand. Test, and we fight.
