Has Amir Khan ever faced a world class opponent the same height as him?

I left him out on purpose :P. I doubt Williams will fight at 147lbs again (his last fight was at 158lbs so he doesn't count as a WW anymore in my eyes).

Even if he does fight at WW this year, it's unlikely that he'd be fighting at WW next year when Khan moves up to Welterweight. He'll probably be punishing people at 154lbs. Therefore I doubt Khan and him will get it on. Also, I don't think Golden Boy would match Khan up with Williams.

Khan was recently making 135, so 140 is a nice fit for him. He shouldn't have to move up just because he's taller. Height isn't the only thing that determines what size you are, overall.

By this logic, Wladimir Klitschko shouldn't be allowed to box, period. Maybe you wish he didn't box for different reasons, but the fact of the matter is that he fits the limit requirements, so that's that.

Yes Khan benefits from being taller and having a longer reach than everyone else at 140, but if he can make the weight, that's all that matters.

height doesnt mean ****,williams is lanky as ****,but he doesnt have the mind or the skills to fight that way.

and small guys can beat big guys easy.

dont use lame excuses like height and ignore the skills of smaller fighters and their advatanges/differences in styles.

To be fair though, Kahn does kind of hunch over when he fights so like..he must lose at least 2/3 inches doing that.

Fact is height does matter, you have to punch upwards and you have to work your way inside.
Amir should put some weight on and move into the middleweight division to fight realistic opponents. The average height is 5'9-5'10 and hes fighting guys 5'6 lol

Wow, and here I was thinking weight classes were determined by...weight. Apparently they're actually determined by height.

taller people can go on to higher weightclasses.
Just look at ODH, Floyd Mayweather, Thomas Hearns, SRL and the list goes on and on.

Yet Amir Khan decides to stay at a weight where only midgets box (guys who average around 5'7, not even average height)
Hes a world champion of fighting mini guys, thats it.
