What can he teach him guys? I have seen every fight of Cotto's and so has many probably what can he improve? just a general question... We know that Cotto is left handed but fights right handed there must be flaws too this and pluses too this..... what are they and what can he polish him up on?

Taylor was dumb though. You would hear Manny for a whole minute scream on Taylor to do something. As soon as the bell rings, Taylor got off his stool and didn't do anything Manny told him. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. Cotto is the same way. When the tides rise, he go into default mode which is fighting on instinct.

          It's a good move.

Steward really isn't changing Cotto in any way more than getting him back to where he was physically and skill wise. I think Steward also can be very beneficial in the corner when things get tough. Steward's corner experience trumps most active trainers today.

I think it's good for cotto to have manny because manny can pull rank on cotto and say things to cotto that Joe Santiago would be scared to say to cotto. I also think manny is just gonna implement suttle adjustment where he see's weakness in cotto. I doubt he's gonna try to change cotto. I'm a cotto fan so I'm all for it. One thing that is funny is that all the cotto fights emanuel has been at as a commentator he always said cotto's opponent was doing better than cotto. Emanuel actally tried to become cotto's trainer before he fought manny pacman but cotto and he's team refused and went with Joe Santiago Emanuel said he could help cotto knock manny out. Maybe cotto will get a rematch with Emanuel in his corner

Cotto didnt lacked a big name trainer his uncle is a magnificent trainer and Cotto showed improvement in every fight he had, his lack of discipline is what got him in trouble. He had the ''Is My Way Or The highway'' attitude and that didnt helped.

Now he is more reluctant to say he is wrong and accepting other people ideas and what not.

This is nothing but good before Manny, Cotto was training himself. Santiago was just a towel rack and Cotto wasn't even on speaking terms with his uncle. Cotto's is a stubborn dude and he has come to see that having it his way wasn't what was best for him. Cotto is now on the hands of a world class trainer and is allowing Manny to do his thing.

Its a Good thing! Everybody saw the crap in the gym before Steward man.

Manny seems better with taller fighters and dont seem what he was but he is still a Huge step up and can only help, i also like the way he is talking about bringing Cotto back to what he used to do. Basics. Miguel on his way up was one of the more technically correct fighters ive seen, chin always tucked, gloves always up, good balance, ect. ect.

It may be too late by now but i still like Cotto's odds at getting more Big wins and remember Steward Asked to train HIM, Manny actively set out to work with Miguel and u can tell by his commentery he had a good understanding of Miguel
