Emanuel Steward training Cotto. Good or bad?

I am a big Cotto fan and know that throughout his career he has lacked a good trainer most of his career.. I just want a general idea of what people think about steward and what he can teach Cotto and if its a good pairing

How could ayone believe it would not benefit cotto? Steward's a proven trainer. If he does not improve under steward he would not have done better with any other trainer.

Steward is a great choice for Cotto...His talent/skills could only take him so far..he needs somebody to help sharpen his skills and showcase them on a higher level...kinda like Jordan couldnt win until Phil Jackson got there..Kobe/Shaq couldnt win until Phil Jackson got there...same talent..just need somebody who can utilize it the best way...

I always thought manny was a trainer who benefited taller boxers with a height advantage and that aint cotto.. I personaly think that when he trained taylor for the winky fight he didnt come up with a great fight plan.. I know winky is an awkard guy too fight but it seemed as though taylor neglected his jab early on in that fight and i also feel that cotto being a left hand orthodox is a bit of a hard one to train..

If Steward doesn't persuade him to use his style it's good. If he does, it's part bad/good

Great, considering who was training him.
