Margarito was nothing at 154,neither was Pacman.I do care about the belt because they gave him that title. He has never beaten a 154 champion,Floyd has that right to say he did, there is nothing similar about the 2 different circumstances at all.
I think he's point is that even though Pac is a JMW title holder.

He is not force to campaign at that weight. Should he give it up or be strip? Sure.

But, we all knew before 154(or 150) was a one and done deal. That he was going back down to 147 ala Floyd when he fought Oscar. That they both were going to continue do campaign at 147 not at 154 it didn't matter if they had the belt or not.

Whats strange to me is when people say pacquiao has to eat a house to make 147 pounds but roach wants to fight marquez at 147. I honestly dont get it.

I know that homey, but that doesn't give anyone the right to criticize Martinez for trying to fight the cashcow at a weight he's champion at,now does it??

          All of that is irrelevant..

**** the belt then.. ok? In your mind the 8th title is a sham and doesn't hold any credibility.. so why should he fight in that division. And as I have said, you clearly look over this, Team Pacquiao has said prior to the Tony fight.. that the Jr. MM fight was a one-time thing. He was testing the waters so to speak (reason for catchweight).

          Your logic:

Martinez is too small for bigger fighters. Pass
Manny has to fight bigger fighters. Fail

          Sergio height: 5'10"
          reach: 76"

          B-Hop height: 6'1"
          reach: 75"

          Ward height: 6'1"
          reach: 73"

          Manny height: 5'6"
          reach: 67"

Manny is a small WW.. basically smaller than many of the Jr. WW's..

With that being said.. I'd love to see this fight and see Manny challenged again. He is making it look too easy.

I backed it up with numbers.

          Do you get that?

what dont you get?....whether at ww or jww, they'd still come in similar in size, so does'nt matter unlike the floyd vs jmm where the weight difference was very obviuos....

Now you just sound hurtt man.. It ain't that serious. Championship was a gimmick.. right? So why should the guy campaign at a division he cannot compete in.. He already stated it was a one off fight.. It was too high of a weight to compete in, hence him weighing in 144 lbs. on the weigh-ins.

I ain't criticizing Martinez.. I hope the fight goes through. Just pointing out what you are saying is contradicting. Look at the numbers..

I never ever said he has to fight bigger men bro.My opinion is based around the belts, the titles & the records.U can't **** them if there going down in the history books as such.

That makes the difference when comparing Martinez to 168lbers.He didn't beat a cabdriver & isn't going down in history as having owned a belt there. He's never fought on or around there & never tried to sell a history making fight under such clear ill pretenses.Manny doesn't have to fight a real 154lber ever again, but Martinez a career 154lber shouldn't be criticized for trying to fight the cashcow of the sport.

U as fan of his can overlook what he did at 154,I can't.there were real champions there on the outside looking in as Margarito & Pacman fought in their division while they got no action. Now ya bwoy is fighting Granpa Mosley & how much people have U heard criticize Mosley for that, like he really had the power to MAKE Manny choose him or something.

No Martinez should not be criticized at all.

However, once you reach the elite level every fighter should be held to the same standards as the other elite.
