According to former three division champion Erik "El Terrible" Morales, he received a call from Golden Boy Promotions who advised him that a deal was reached with WBO/WBA lighte champion Juan Manuel Marquez, and their fight would move forward on April 9 in Las Vegas with HBO involved. Morales said "some outstanding issues" with Marquez were fixed. "The fight will move forward," said Morales.

i really dont know why this fight is being made, JMM will get nothing out of it, theyll just say morales was wayyyy past prime. for morales, he doesnt really have much of a chance, but who knows, maybe he can get other names after this if he chooses to continue his career after this fight.
