JMM had a choice and he agreed to fight JUST LIKE Cotto agreed to a catchweight for his WW title vs Pac.

    THE POINT:
Pac demanded for Floyd to pay a penalty for a weight that he has NEVER come in overweight. It doesn't matter anyhow because Floyd agreed. Pac was the one that walked When Floyd gave his demand of OST that was just as off the wall to some as Pac demanding 10 million dollars from a guy that calls himself "MONEY".

Sounds like SOMEBODY didn't really want to fight in a ring but rather in a court room.
What's even more hilarious is the notion that Juan Manuel Marquez had a chance anyway. Floyd outweighed Marquez by 3-4lbs. So you're telling me that those 3-4lbs made marquez a c to d-class level, sparring quality fighter which is why he as toyed with all night??? SUCKA PLEASE!!!

Let's look at theory here folks:
Manny is smaller than his opponents in most cases, and Pacquaio fans use this as a point of pride, and he is faster, swifter on his feet, the better boxer. Manny shows us being smaller doesn't matter as long as your you're the better boxer... i.e. MORE TALENTED. Roy JOnes Jr showed us this when he fought a 30lbs+ heavier Ruiz. Roy toyed with Ruiz.

Which brings us to Juan vs FLoyd. Juan was largely ranked the #2 P4P boxer in the world behind Manny (because Floyd was retired). Juan was 3-4lbs smaller than Floyd which means Juan should be able to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee all night against the BIGGER MAYWEATHER... RIGHT?

NOPE! Juan was destroyed in every facet of the fight. WHy? Because Floyd is superior in every way. Those 3-4lbs didn't matter at all. Even Kellerman and Lampley said that during the fight by saying the weight wouldn't even matter because Floyd would be too much for Juan.

does that question mean you understand my point in the last post.

I'm trying to show you the inconsistently of Manny and this weight penalty issue. I'm also trying to get you to understand that Floyd has never missed 147 pounds, the weight he and Manny were going to fight at.

my main point is for the 100th time that it is reasonable to put a weight clause in there because he failed to make an agreed upon weight. it doesnt matter if he agreed to 144, 147, 177. floyd agreed to a weight and didnt make it.

you could say 10 million per lb is excessive and i would agree.
Excessive? Maybe but its about the percentage of the fight. Mayweather and Pac would make a lot of money. Its the point of Pac demanding such a thing.

Pac's demand was just as reasonable as Floyd and his OST, reason Floyd agreed to Pac. Floyd wants an assurance just as Pac wants his. Pac said no to this when Floyd said YES.

Since then Floyd beat the #1 WW (who Manny all of a sudden wants to fight NOW) and has got into trouble and is now in court. Ironically court is the same place Pac wanted to fight Floyd. (A real hater at this point would probably say Pac's ducking Floyd in court now as Floyd's in court and Pac's a no show)

All jokes aside at the end of the day when negotiations actually consisted of both parties and media, Team Pac walked. Since then we got a VERY horrible year of Pac fighting hand selected fighters and this year is starting off just as bad. Media, fighters and fans have agreed upon this.

you dont need to, we can agree on that already. im not saying manny is a saint, im saying i can understand why he has put it in there for floyd because of the marquez fight. im sure floyd would make the weight anyway.

              • Has anyone noticed that whenever Bob Arum and Don King co-promote fights it's always a Don King fighter that comes out the winner?

This hasn't something to do with Manny being a saint. I'm seriously trying to figure out why he put a milli per pound on Cotto when Cotto never missed weight.
