Here's the direct quote from Kathy Duva:
"The Klitschkos have signed, Tomasz Adamek has signed. Everybody has signed. At this point, I know that [The Klitschko's manager] Bernd Boente has told some people and announced in Germany that the fight is on for September, and that Tomasz Adamek will be fighting one of the Klitschkos, probably Wladimir," said Duva.
"But if for some reason Wladimir can't fight him, then Vitali will take his place. It will be in a soccer stadium. It's will be one of the stadiums being prepared for the 2012 European Soccer Championships, and so there is one in Wroclaw and there is one in Warsaw," said Duva.
"It will be in September. At this point, I believe that [The Klitschkos'] K2 Promotions will be issuing a press release tomorrow," said Duva. "But from our side, we had a plan to get Tomasz Adamek ready not just to fight for a heavyweight title, but to win it. We got a good deal in the contract and we're thrilled with the deal that we made and we're really excited that he will have the chance to become heavyweight champion in Poland."
She says it's to fight one of the Klitschkos but that it will probably be Wlad. Adamek says he's fighting Wlad, but it's obvious Duva wouldn't lie about this, and that Adamek must really mean he'll almost certainly end up fighting Wlad.
The only things that would lead to Adamek fighting Vitali instead of Wlad are: 1) Chisora pulls the upset of the century or (2) Haye grows a pair of balls and agrees to fight Wlad. The upset of the century is more likely than Haye growing a pair of balls. (Actually there's a third thing that could cause him to fight Vitali - if Wlad got injured again; but that's also pretty unlikely, though more likely than either of the other two reasons.)
So Adamek is almost certainly right that he'll end up fighting Wlad, but the fact remains that he signed to fight one of the Klitschkos. Duva has no reason to lie about that.Last edited by Dave Rado; 01-24-2011, 10:01 PM.Comment

Personally, I'd prefer to see Adamek fight Wladimir. I think it would be an interesting technical fight.
But Adamek vs. either Klitschko would be fine.Comment

Why is it that the Klitschkos made a deal with Adamek in less than 3 weeks but The Ducker David Haye can't make one in 3 years? #justsayinThe "either Klitschko" idea was Adamek's, not the Klitschkos'Last edited by The Hammer; 01-24-2011, 10:31 PM.Comment
