when you watch manny train he doesnt make those mistakes but he gets in fights and they come out because they are bad habits. roy jones made many mistakes like pulling back and they caught up with him sooner or later. relied on his ability to get away until that ability was gone or jsut not as good as it once was. its not a skill its not something you practice over and over. freddy roach isnt in gym like i want you to jsut jump in head first with punches or lets practice your off balance 1 foot punching. its jsut bad things he do but get away because of type of opponent and his ability to keep firing and his strong as legs and core

I actually quoted Mr Blobby silly logic. Which YOU decided to quote me. And, then I replied to you. Without noticing that my point went over your head

but being gifted and talented has nothing to do with skilled. kobe is jsut as talented now as he was when he was 18 mabe even less but he is better now because he practice and perfect skills of the game.

manny is very gifted and talented and a great athlete but the topic is his footwork which he has bad amateurish footwork. if it was anyone else make those mistakes they be knocked out. noone practice or trains those things.

and only people who dont know boxing would say margirito has no skills. but when you talk about specific skills you can break him down. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT MANNY FOOTWORK not his entire skillset. he has many skills ontop of his ability talent. same with margirito. and pretty much every other champion and contender. yall get mistaken mad and off track.

skill (sk l) n. 1. Proficiency, facility, or dexterity that is acquired or developed through training or experience
          Skill does not mean textbook.

Thats the very definition of skill. Gifted athlete or not, he found a way to use those gifts to his advantage. You say his footwork is amateurish, but when has it really failed him?? You bring up JMM but it wasn't Pac's footwork that was his trouble, it was JMM's over-all style and skillset that is tailor-made to give someone like Pac difficulties.

Your hung up on textbook skills, yet, most of the best fighters have been successful not because they relied soley on textbook skills, but rather, unorthodox skills they developed. Hell even Floyd, probably the most textbook fighter out there right now, uses an unorthodox defense.

exactily and you dont devlope bad mistakes from training and practice unless you practice to do those things which he isnt. many has plenty of skills footwork isnt one of them.

manny get away with his mistakes because hes fighting guys with slow straight forward footwork. marquez made simple adjutments that gave manny plenty of problems. the point of this topic is does he have good footwork. no matter how far he goes in boxing i will still say he has bad footwork. because his footwork isnt anything you would teach or train another fighter. roy jones made plenty of mistakes and noone would train like him maybe emulate him but his talents got him over. and he relied on his other skills.

manny gets away with making these mistakes because of the oppoents he fights and he is a great athlete. its like some ball players who can make circus shots that you would never practice or teach but yet they do it and get away with it. i dont say its a skill i say they relied on their ability and just got away with it.

no matter what you guys say you cant tell me or prove to me manny has good footwork. ive been with plenty of coaches boxed plenty of years and watched and been a fan of the sport long enough to say his footwork is terrible. but he makes up for in it in other areas. i have the highest respect for manny but im keeping it real and on topic. fast feet yes. good skilled footwork no.

Really, you don't think Pac practice the footwork he uses in the ring? That stuff is burned into his muscle memory, that comes with time/practice, not random mistakes.

Once again, your insisting he needs to have textbook footwork to be good in your eyes. Your right, no trainers would teach Manny's footwork because its too difficult for the average person to pick up and/or too difficult to teach but here's my point, he is extremely successful at what he does and much of what he does he has acquired through his training and experience.
