I hardly go a day without hearing some type of reference about boxing. To bad teh coverage is not the same way.

My brother and I were watching sports center and they were talking about the NFC Championship between the Bears vs. Packers and the reporter said man this is like one of those huge heavyweight Prize fights a Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali kind of feeling. Then they started talking about a college basketball game and compared it to two great boxers getting in the ring to see who is better. The final analogy we heard was the AFC Championship game and they said it is like a fighter taking body shots the whole fight comparing body shots to running the football and see if they can last all 12 rounds or 4 quarters. I always hear this it and notice it how so many other sports use Boxing analogies then any other sport and I feel it is used more for analogies than any other sport.

cause there's nothing more graphic than a boxing analogy.
