My brother and I were watching sports center and they were talking about the NFC Championship between the Bears vs. Packers and the reporter said man this is like one of those huge heavyweight Prize fights a Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali kind of feeling. Then they started talking about a college basketball game and compared it to two great boxers getting in the ring to see who is better. The final analogy we heard was the AFC Championship game and they said it is like a fighter taking body shots the whole fight comparing body shots to running the football and see if they can last all 12 rounds or 4 quarters. I always hear this it and notice it how so many other sports use Boxing analogies then any other sport and I feel it is used more for analogies than any other sport.
Why does every other sport use so many Boxing Analogies?

Boxing is historically one of the oldest sports in world. That's why boxing can provide different examples from it's rich history. Many martial sports just copied boxing system which was developed throughout century, even this classic bell ringing you can see in many sports, I mean it doesn't have to be this kind of bell ringing it's just become classic from boxing.Comment
