Comments Thread For: Emanuel Steward on Pacquiao/Cotto Heading To Showtime

The battle between HBO and Showtime has become a red-hot topic since the start of the new year. Showtime began to make a serious run in the final quarter of 2010, when they signed undefeated IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute to an exclusive multi-fight contract. They opened a few eyes by closing several deals to showcase some of Top Rank's stars like Brandon Rios and Juan Manuel Lopez.

Article is wrong. Showtimes last PPV was Vargas V Mayorga. IMO, this is awesome. Now you have big fights going to Showtime, which will increase their viewers and bring Showtime back to the front of boxing. What more could a boxing fan ask than two networks willing to show a ton of fights. HBO has competition and is gonna have to start stepping their game up. The more fights, the better. The more competition, the better.

Screw it; I kinda like Showtime commentators more than HBO's. HBO's is lagging it and the politics involving the sports and favoritism is really kiling the
              sport.

emmanual steward is a Pacquiao fan so I'm sure he is hurt that HBO is screwing itself over by aligning itself with GBP which is a sinking ship and a disgrace to the sport. 115 million vs 28 million and anyone with two braincells when it comes to business knows what time it is. Pacquiao is single handidly saving the sport.

Pacquiao is saving the sport. Remove Pacquiao from the List and Boxing will be an embarassment to the sports in terms of PPV buys.
