First off i was worried in the first round, very worried. braithwaite was staggering and was hurt for sure. but then in the second round he came back stuck some decent shots on jones and won the round. 3rd round Braithwaite had him hurt badly at the end of the round, and dominated the whole round anyway up to that point. 4th round started off great for wayne but then did get caught with some good shots. did anyone notcie his right glove touch the canvas? it was right after jones sequence of punches began. So right there the ref should have said "NO KNOCKDOWN" and wiped his glove on his shirt. that would have given braithwaite a little time to rest. that being said even wih the barrage of punches he took from jones the fight SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT HAVE BEEN STOPPED. he was shaky, but some of the movements were to try to avoid jones punches, yeah he wasnt doing a good job but he was trying to defend. he was getting hit with good shots, but he was not very hurt at all, he definitely was not as hurt as he was in the 1st round. he was trying to bide his time and the ****** ASS REFEREE STOPPED THE FIGHT WHEN BRAITHWAITE HAD JUST DUCKED 2 PUNCHES IN A ROW. WTF IS THAT ABOUT? THIS REFEREE WAS FROM ****ING OHIO WHERE THEY DONT KNOW BOXING FOR ****. HE HAD OBVIOUSLY NEVER REFFED AN IMPORTANT FIGHT AT ALL, SO WHY WOULD THEY GET A *** LIKE THIS? I JUST DONT GET IT. THESE REFS ARE FOR GUYS LIKE TERRY SMITH VS JULIUS LONG OR THE OTHER ****TY ASS HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT ON FNF THIS PAST WEEK. IT WAS A HORRIBLE STOPPAGE AND THE REFEREE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOT AFTER THE FIGHT FOR THE WAY HE ACTED WHEN BEING QUESTIONED BY JIM GREY. HE WAS A COMPLETE SMART ASS WITH THE WAY HE SAID EVERYTHING. WHO THE **** IS HE TO TELL BRAITHWAITE "JUST GO BACK TO THE GYM AND FIGHT ANOTHER DAY" HE DOESNT WANT TO HEAR THAT BULL**** FROM ANYONE MUCH LESS THE PERSON THAT JUST ROBBED HIM OUT OF A FIGHT. AND LIKE I SAID THE SMART ASS WAY HE SAID IT WAS JUST COMPLETELY UNNACCEPTABLE. "ID STOP IT AGAIN" WAS ANOTHER GAY ASS QUOTE AND AGAIN MORE THE WAY HE SAID THAT THAN ANYTHING ELSE. AND HIS GREAT DESCRIPTION OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN THE FIGHT WHEN HE WAS WATCHING IT ON THE MONITOR WAS ABSOLUTELY ****ING PATHETIC. "LOOK SHOT, SHOT, OH YEAH OOOH YEAH" OH GREAT WAY TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF ******. "LOOK HES GETTING HIT, HES GETTING HURT, I PROTECTED YOUR FIGHTER, HE CAN LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY". WHAT A ****ING ****SUCKER. DAMN I WISH ONE OF BRAITHWAITES CORNER MEN WOULD HAVE BEAT THE **** OUT OF THAT ****** ASS MOTHER****ER, SO BRAITHWAITE HIMSELF WOULDNT HAVE GOT IN TROUBLE OF COURSE. THAT *** DESERVES A SLOW DEATH FOR ONE THING FOR THE IDIOTIC CALL HE MADE TO STOP THE FIGHT AND FOR EVEN MORE THE REASON FOR THE WAY HE ACTED AND WHAT HE SAID AFTER THE FIGHT, THAT WAS JUST UNBELIEVABLY ****ING GAY AS HELL. I WANTED TO THROW SOMETHING AT THE ****ING TV LISTENING TO THAT ***. **** YOU YOU REDNECK PIECE OF ****. anyway on a calmer note, braithwaite did very good after the first round up until the sequence of punches in the 4th. i really think he could have come back to KO/TKO jones within the next 4 rounds or so. he was putting some beautiful combos together in 3rd and beginning of the 4th round. the one main problem with braithwaite for me was that he was relying on his hooks to damn much. jones was ducking prtty much all of them, all braithwaite neede to do was throw a few uppercuts as he was ducking and the fight could have been over as soon as that happened. as braithwaite was missing jones was getting energy while braithwaite was losing some and that abled jones to come back to land good punches on wayne. its unfortunate that this was an IBF eliminator now b/c otherwise i think jones would be willing to fight braithwaite again right away instead of go for the title shot againt bell. i think bell will beat jones and then probably fight mormeck and bell will get crushed by mormeck. while braithwaite hopefully gets a win in against whoever, and then after jones loses to bell they can have a rematch to determine who will get the winner of bell-mormeck. so hopefully braithwaite can get both rematches soon. a good opponent would be cunningham cause everyone seems to be pretty high on him now specially after his big win against davis last night. so if braithwaite could step right in against him and defeat him that would be very good for wayne and that would put him right back in there. the main concern now for me is that if braithwaite's next fight will be shown after technicaly even though one loss is bs losing 2 fights in a row.
