Answer me this, do you really think HBO passed on Pac-Mosley?

They didn't decline but they didn't fight to host it either... it probably went something like:

Secretary: "Mr. Greenberg, I just got news that Bob Arum is gonna take the Pacquiao-Mosley fight over to Showtime unless, and I quote "you put up some more money""

So basically Pacquiao runs boxing. He has TV companies bidding for his services. To all those who say Pacquiao isnt the cash cow in boxing let me ask you this, Who sold the most PPVS in 2010? How about 2009? 2008? The last 3 years belongs to Manny Pacquiao and it hasn't even been close.

Don't be ****** bro. This is a blow to HBO. The fight would have been on PPV which means it really would not hurt HBO budget at all. And, it will be a fight that would make them their biggest profit of the year(if Floyd doesn't comeback). They're in the Pacquiao business. They will take this fight in a heartbeat. If you don't think that they're sweating about this then you're naive.

Pac vs Clottey was a bull **** fight which did only 700k..

Pac vs Margarito was another bull **** fight, which did better then clottey fight. BUt it was still bull **** because the fight was odly similar to the Pac vs Clottey. No one suspected Margarito to win, everyone FAN other then the casuals were screaming BOYCOTT..and guess what?? The fight turned out to be garbage.

Pac vs Mosley is no different. Mosley has lost his last 2 PPV fights and HBO isnt fronting mosley for a third time. Thats why they are going to showtime...DUH..Just because the casual fans buy this fight doesnt mean the fight is worth buying...who doesnt know how this fight will turn out??

Come one floyd schooled him 12 rounds straight, then he turned around and looked like **** against a contender...only a nut head would think this fight is competitive...

People that watch HBO, buy PPV, and tune into boxingscene are the ones who knows about this fight etc. Just because its on showtime, doesnt mean it will someone create more views....NO ONE WANTS to see this fight PERIOD...showtime is only fronting this because they havent had a big PPV fight in a while..

You really think HBO would front Pac-Clottey and Pac-Margarito, which netted them 700K-1.2 mil buys, but they would pass on Pac-Shane because of marketability? Use your damn brain!

And good to see that Pacquiao will be bringing Boxing back to the mainstream, back to primetime. If Top Rank can strike a deal with CBS to do this, it would be HUGE. Manny is single-handedly carrying the sport on his back and bringing it back to prominence, no wonder he wants to fight through 2013, this may only be the beginning.

This... HBO exec looks at the bottomline.. And the bottom line is how much revenue you generated for the company in a year...They dont give a **** about the number of fights because that one does not appear in financial statement.
