I was going to say Winky. But I don't think I've ever heard the man talk.

usually great fighters doesn't end up to be good trainers because their expectations are too high based on what they were as fighters and their experiences. if they have to train somebody it has to be a very promising and talented young fighter to jive with their expectations. they would only get bored training a bum or an average fighter.

He would definitely be good. Especially considering his lack of corner help.

As strange as it may sound I agree. I never thought much of the guy as a boxer but I think he is pretty bright. He could talk all the **** he wanted. Yeah, the spitting image of Roach.

I think people are a little off with all the stars theyre mentioning. In almost all sports, the best coaches and managers werent stars, they were the midling guys who didnt get by on pure talent. A guy like Roy...I think he'd be frustrated as hell training someone. He'd be like, "why didnt you just dodge that punch and leap at the guy etc..." I think the best coaches are the ones who had to work for everything, where nothing came easy or really natural to them, if a certain skill came easy or natural for a guy...how are you going to expect them to teach it to someone elese.

They just have the dimeanor I would look for. Their not the most talented but smart enough to compensate. Who would you pick?
James Toney...had great skills....still does....but never had the discipline to stay in shape. Teaching skills doesn't require you to be in shape....
