If Sergio wants to act like an ATG why doesn't he go up and challenge the champs in the upper weight classes?

Its nice to be able to challenge a natural lightweight isn't it. Sergio Martinez gets a great KO win and now wants to act like this? Maybe he should avenge his loss against Margarito first....

You guys are just butthurt because Sergio pulled up Pacquiao's skirt.
He just knows where the $$$ is at. Period. These guys weren't saying a word until they actually thought they may have a chance to get in the ring with PAC. Seriously people.

These guys are just fishing. That's boxing 101. In other words, they are saying Manny hasn't impressed them with his wins, but yet they would love to fight him right?

So with that logic, why go after a fighter you are not impressed with?

        Oh yeah, $$$.

As long as they dont parade around this silly '8 weight clases' BS, he doesnt have to fight Martinez.

          but they are.

If youre going to pretend youre a champ at 154lbs, then fight the top 154lbers.
otherwise, simply call yourself a champ at 147lbs and continue on your way with no obligations.

            i agree completely...

the 154 lb title pacquiao has is total bull crap. he won it against a guy coming from suspension who isn't even a contender at that weight and pacquiao himself barely being a full legit welterweight. quite frankly, it shouldn't count

but heres the thing, the belt was offered for grabs by the wbc for margarito-pacquiao, and pacquiao and his camp seems to still see ABC belts as having value. good for the wbc cause they get a piece of the big money fight.

i believe he was testing the waters, and if the wbc is gonna give him a belt for it, then why the hell not. and has already stated that he won't be fighting these big guys anymore. even before martinez-williams.

pacquiao didn't like fighting guys the size of margarito. sure, he whooped that ass but he took some and might be feeling that he is simply too small, probably thinks its unfair for him to be at such a size disadvantage all the time.

He did, and btw..... he won.

              And guess what?

              He didn't demand a catch-weight

Oh, Manny is a LW today? Then how come he won't go anywhere near Marquez unless the fight is held at 147?

What are you talking about ?

Sarmiento doesn't want to fight Pacquiao, they have signed to fight Dzinziruk.

Sergio has already publicly stated that he will not fight Manny.

They want to be ranked by The Ring as P4P #1, and simply pointed out that they are kicking the year off to a great start by fighting an unbeaten champion, whilst Team Pacquiao are fighting an old man.

Agreed, great point. That's basically my bottom line too.

It's obvious that fight was a joke, and Manny is not a genuine JMW champ. Sergio would kill Manny, I don't wanna see a mismatch like that.

Any mismatch is ridiculous, which is why I get a little hot under the collar over the 147 demand for Marquez.

@ Sergio and his peeps for THINKING ANYBODY with a name would fight them AFTER what he did to Kelly and Paul.....the terror alert went to red in the 154-160 zone when he put Paul to sleep
